Anti Drug Assembly

We had an assembly on Tuesday, November 3rd, put on by the Duchesne County Sherriff's Department. They reminded us of how important that it is NOT to get involved with drugs and alcohol.

They brought up a current inmate who talked with us about how he ended up in trouble. He caved into peer pressure to take his first drink and then he went on to get more involved with drug and alcohol use. He told us that he wishes that he had never even taken that first drink. He lost a business and doesn't get to see his little girl. He told us that it really took away his whole life. He is looking forward to being able to be paroled the first part of the year, but even then, he does not have his complete freedom back. Wow! He gave us much to think about. I hope that all of my students have strengthen their personal resolve never to be caught in the trap of drugs.
